In August 2026 Nick was approached to take on the restoration of a very over-grown community pond in Sandford. 26 years of silt build-up, alongside lush vegetation growth, had left if choked up, with limited benefit to the local wildlife, and clearly lacking in biodiversity.
Work took place over two days, by which time Nick was able to leave with the pond filling up with water once more.

Over the next 20 hours the levels increased.
In the photo it is almost brim full, with the local residents already anticipating the joy of seeing the biodiversity return to this very special place.
