Roborough Rewilders

Greencliff Farm is situated on an exposed headland on the north coast of Devon.  Nick completed Phase One of the nature recovery programme back in August 2025, he has returned in early January 2026 to work on a second, even more exposed field.  He will oversee the digging of two further ponds, the creation of banks and scrapes and will be erecting bird boxes on site too.

We will document Phase two progress on this page, and via our YouTube channel.

“It was great to welcome Nick from the Roborough Rewilders back to Greencliff Farm to help transform one of our largest fields. Alongside Nick, our brilliant digger driver, he completely reshaped what was once a rye grass field into a far more diverse and interesting landscape, with banks, scrapes, ponds and areas set aside for wildflowers.

Nick also installed two owl boxes and did a fantastic job designing the layout — no easy task given how steep the ground is in places. He carefully budgeted the whole scheme and planted thousands of willow cuttings to help stabilise the banks.

Despite some pretty grim weather, both Nicks stayed cheerful through the rain and cold and worked incredibly hard.

Huge thanks from Sue and Sam at Greencliff — we can’t wait to see how it develops.”
